UPDATE : I've added an exclusive interview.

William Fichtner, cast member on the suspense-thriller television series Prison Break, is ecstatic about his upcoming movie entitled First Snow. In an interview with TVGuide.com, he expressed his sentiments about his forthcoming project, which will be released on March 23, 2007.

First Snow, directed by Mark Fergus and produced by Bob Yari, Sean Furst and Tom Lassally, is a thriller, which centers on the character Jimmy Starks, played by Guy Pearce, a cocky salesman on the verge of a big break. He gets lost in the middle of nowhere and eventually faces a lot of mystery and paranoia. In the movie, Fichtner plays Ed, Pearce’s buddy, which is a role entirely different from his character as agent Alexander Mahone on the series Prison Break.

Upon reading the script Fichtner said, "What a great little story." It's interesting and engaging. Mark Fergus and his writing partner, Hawk Ostby, wrote such an interesting piece…but it's such an interesting journey, and the truth is that I'm such a fan of Guy [Pearce] as an actor that I thought it would be great to work with him.

Fichtner, a 50-year old actor, is a native of New York. He graduated from the State University of New York with a degree in criminal justice. Eventually, he trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and landed a spot on the soap opera As the World Turns. His other acting credits included Contact, Heat, Armageddon, Go, Black Hawk Down, Crash, Mr. & Mrs. Smith and The Longest Yard to name a few.

When asked about his inclusion on the next season of Prison Break, Fichtner explained that the producers have the option to incorporate his character again but at the moment, he is unaware of what’s going to happen next. He said, “If they decide to exercise that option, so be it. It would be my pleasure to come back. I've never had that feeling with a television experience before.”
